I Can Forgive Cheating, But We Shall Not Continue In Sin -Stan Nze

According to a report by the Cable on Monday, June 1, 2026, Stan Nze, the Nigerian film star, has spoken candidly about the role forgiveness plays in sustaining romantic relationships and marriages, stressing that genuine love must be rooted in selflessness and understanding.

While attending the premiere of the movie Ajosepo, the actor shared his perspective on why forgiveness is vital, even in difficult situations such as infidelity.

He explained that the kind of love required to make relationships work goes beyond fleeting emotions and should be grounded in deeper spiritual values.

“Love is enough, real love, I’m not talking about the butterflies in your tummy, it’s not that, the one that Christ preached, the one that is agape, the love in Galatians 5: 23, it’s not built on flesh, its genuine, it is the one that is selfless, the one that is kind that forgives easily,” he said.

According to him, many marriages break down because couples struggle to forgive each other when conflicts arise.

He emphasized that while love can sustain a relationship, it must be the right kind of love — one that is patient, kind, and willing to overlook wrongs without encouraging repeated bad behavior.

“Love is enough if it is the right love, yes, I can forgive cheating, but we shall not continue in sin that grace may abound, so you will not be stupid but if someone offends you or someone does something that is not right, that’s what it is… It is not a license to be stupid, but it is something that you should be able to forgive,” he said.

Nze concluded that forgiveness should not be mistaken for weakness but seen as a strength that helps relationships grow when practiced wisely…..See More
