In a recent video on RCCG Tabernacle on Sunday, May 31st 2026, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has recounted an inspiring story of a man who experienced God’s abundant blessings after marrying later in life. The account was shared during a recent sermon, highlighting the power of divine compensation for years of waiting.
According to Pastor Adeboye, the man remained unmarried well into his fifties. After surrendering his life to Jesus Christ, he eventually got married, demonstrating that it is never too late for God’s intervention in personal life matters.
The cleric revealed that soon after the marriage, the man’s wife gave birth to twins. Remarkably, two years later, the couple welcomed another set of twins.
Pastor Adeboye humorously noted the overwhelming nature of the blessings. “The man got married after many years and soon after, his wife gave birth to twins. Two years later, another set of twins arrived. I had to tell him to take it gently because God was overflowing blessings on him,” he said.
The preacher used the story to illustrate the principle that God can compensate for delays in life with fruitfulness and abundance. He emphasized that waiting on God should not be discouraging, as divine timing often produces results far exceeding human expectations.
“The lesson here is clear,” Pastor Adeboye added. “God’s delay is not denial. Sometimes the blessings are so great that they come all at once. Faithfulness and patience in Him can bring fruitfulness that surpasses imagination.”
