Ebunoluwa Edafe Olowogemo, an actress and scriptwriter, described her modest upbringing on Talk to B. She shared that her father was a school principal and her mother sold planks. She recalled being raised in a protected household of seven. She noted that her father taught in Akoko and only came home on weekends.
She argues that discipline and hard work defined her childhood more than wealth. She says her father’s weekend travels taught her sacrifice. She believes education was her family’s priority despite limited means.
Ebunoluwa Edafe Olowogemo said: “Growing up wasn’t bad. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon. We were poor, but things started changing. My father was a principal before he retired. My mom is a trader. She sells planks. That was how we were raised. We are a family of seven. Two girls. I am the second and last girl. I have three younger brothers. My father was teaching in Akoko and we were living in Osun State. He comes home only on weekends. I went to primary school in Osun State. I proceeded to secondary school in Ondo.
