According to a recent video by TVC News on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Senator Osita Izunaso, Director of the Directorate of Organisation of the PBAT APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, has expressed optimism that the current economic hardship in the country will ease significantly by the time the present administration completes its tenure.
Speaking during an interview on the FCT Brief, Izunaso acknowledged that Nigerians are going through difficult times but insisted that the reforms initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration are already yielding results and will cushion the effects of the hardship in the next tenure.
The senator, who stated that “by the time we complete this tenure and move into the next one, people will no longer complain about hardship to the extent they do today,” cited the Nigerian Education Loan Fund and the improved stability in the university system as evidence that the reforms are taking shape.
He also proposed amendments to the NELFUND law to allow state governments to contribute to its funding, alongside the introduction of skills acquisition programmes to bridge the gap between university education and employment.
His words: “ I believe that by the time we complete this tenure and move into the next one, people will no longer complain about hardship to the extent they do today. By then, the reforms will have begun to produce results that will cushion the effects of the hardship we are discussing.”
