According to a report by Trust TV News, Uche Diala, Diala has spoken about the emotional challenges associated with visiting people known to him while they are being held in detention, saying such experiences can be difficult for friends, associates and supporters.
He explained that his decision not to visit former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai frequently was influenced by the emotional effect of seeing someone he knows in detention.
According to Diala, being confronted with such a situation can be distressing, particularly when the person involved is someone with whom he has a personal relationship. His comments suggest that his limited visits were not necessarily a reflection of a lack of concern, but were partly connected to how he felt whenever he witnessed El-Rufai in detention.
