Director General of Heritage Centre Abuja, Katch Ononuju, has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has a personal interest in pocketing Osun State.
In a video that was posted on the official X handle of News Central on July 30, 2026, according to Ononuju, Governor Ademola Adeleke tried to copy Anambra State Governor Soludo by playing with Tinubu, thinking that they would let him go. He stressed that President Tinubu’s interest in the state is far beyond what is known.
He stated that the president has a personal interest in taking the state, and that this will result in a war between the Adeleke family and Tinubu’s people.

Adeleke tried to copy from Soludo, playing with Tinubu, thinking they will let him. Tinubu has a personal interest in pocketing Osun State. I see it as a war between Adeleke and his family and Tinubu and his people.”
