Jumoke Ogunkeyede, an activist, has spoken about Brigadier Benjamin Adekunle who commanded the Third Marine Commando Division of the Nigerian army during the Civil War
In an interview on the State Affairs show with Edmund Obilo, Ogunkeyede said when he was a young boy he heard that Adekunle used to always carry a tortoise on his chest and no gun could kill him. He said the first time he and Adekunle met Adekunle was very humble
Ogunkeyede said he met Adekunle at night in Surulere and Adekunle invited him to go out for dinner. He said they went to a restaurant in Ikeja.
