A security analyst, Obafemi George, has revealed that the United States confessed that weapons recovered from terrorists following a joint strike by Nigerian and US forces was the largest haul since the September 11 attacks.
Speaking in an interview with TVC, George said, “On December 25th, we saw a strike carried out in Sokoto’s Tambuwal Local Government that wiped out scores of terrorists. And three weeks ago, a strike was carried out in Borno, and the US government came out saying that the equipment they recovered from the terrorists was the largest they’ve ever recovered since 9/11. These are no mere feats.”
He described the operations as landmark achievements and called on all Nigerians, regardless of political leaning, to commend the president.
He said the results should give citizens hope and reshape public perception of the fight against insecurity, particularly among those who only focus on the negatives.
