FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has responded to Peter Obi’s claim that Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde told him President Bola Tinubu had not called to check on the situation following the abduction of students in Oriire Local Government Area.
Speaking at a media parley reported by TVC, Wike dismissed Obi’s statement as politically motivated. “I cannot value any statement made by Peter Obi because he is a man who is not consistent everything for him is politics. I’m not in a position to confirm if the President did not call Seyi or not. But if the President did not call Seyi, who is the governor, did Seyi call the head of government to say this is what has happened in my state? If something happens in my state, it is for me to call Mr. President first. That’s how it is done,” he said.
Wike argued that the more important question is not whether a phone call was made, but whether the President took action to address the abductions.
He accused Obi of selectively using what Makinde may have shared with him to score political points, while ignoring the fuller picture of how the federal government responded to the crisis……See More
