Labour Party National Vice Chairman (South-West), Dr. Abayomi Arabambi, has claimed that former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi has consistently encountered political difficulties throughout his career, regardless of the political platform he associates with.
Arabambi made the remarks during an interview on News Central TV while discussing the recent legal developments involving the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and the broader political landscape ahead of the 2027 general election.
According to him, Peter Obi’s movement across different political parties has often been followed by internal disputes or challenges, a pattern he argued has become noticeable over the years.
The Labour Party chieftain referenced Obi’s previous associations with different political parties, claiming that each transition had been accompanied by one form of controversy or another.
Speaking during the interview, Arabambi said, “Peter Obi is a classical example of someone surrounded by perpetual political misfortune.”
He went further to argue that the challenges are not limited to any particular political platform, insisting that the pattern would likely continue regardless of the party Peter Obi chooses to join.
Continuing his remarks, Arabambi stated, “If Peter Obi joins the APC today, even the ruling party will begin to experience problems.”
According to him, the issues surrounding Peter Obi should not be blamed on the Federal Government or any single political party, but should instead be viewed in the context of his political journey.
