In the wake of escalating tensions and the decimation of Iran’s conventional military forces, retired Navy SEAL officer Mike Sarraille is calling on the Biden administration to initiate a round two of strikes, targeting key infrastructure to strip the Iranian regime of its remaining influence.
Appearing on Fox News, on Monday May 4, 2026, Sarraille characterized the initial military actions as a highly successful opening phase that has left the Iranian leadership in shambles.
However, he argued that further kinetic action is necessary to ensure the regime adheres to U.S. red lines.
Sarraille suggested that the current Iranian leadership is failing to grasp the severity of their weakened position.
“To my point, I would view what we’ve done in Iran so far as round one, and that was the most kinetic round. We decimated their military,” Sarraille said. “I would actually advise the president that given their sort of lack of reality of this situation, strike key infrastructure again to bring them to the reality of the situation in that they have zero leverage.”
Despite the heavy losses, Sarraille noted that Iran continues to attempt to exert control over the Strait of Hormuz a vital global shipping lane. He argued that the U.S. must send a definitive message to secure regional stability and prevent nuclear proliferation.
“At this point, I don’t think we’re going to reach what we want to reach the red lines: no nuclear proliferation, no control over the Strait of Hormuz. It’s time to strike them and remind them who’s in control of this situation,” he stated……See More
