In a recent post on Facebook, Popular Nigerian cleric and leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Elijah Ayodele, has urged the government at all levels to prioritize justice, good governance and the welfare of citizens in order to prevent violence and unrest across the country.
Speaking during a recent sermon, Ayodele warned that growing hardship, insecurity and dissatisfaction among Nigerians could escalate if urgent steps are not taken by authorities to address the concerns of the people.
“The best thing is let the government do the right thing so that there will be no violence,” the cleric said while addressing worshippers and journalists.
Ayodele explained that many Nigerians are currently facing severe economic difficulties, including rising food prices, unemployment and insecurity, adding that citizens are becoming increasingly frustrated with the situation in the country.
According to him, the responsibility of maintaining peace does not rest only on security agencies but also on leaders who must ensure fairness, accountability and responsive governance.
The prophet advised political leaders to listen to the cries of ordinary Nigerians and avoid actions or policies capable of triggering tension among the populace. He stressed that peace can only thrive in an atmosphere where justice and economic stability exist.
He further called on youths to remain calm and avoid engaging in destructive activities, insisting that violence would only worsen the nation’s challenges. Ayodele appealed for dialogue and understanding between citizens and the government, noting that cooperation remains essential for national development.
The cleric also urged security agencies to remain professional in handling public matters and to respect the rights of citizens while maintaining law and order.
Ayodele’s comments come amid growing concerns over economic hardship and security challenges affecting several parts of Nigeria. In recent months, civil society groups and community leaders have repeatedly called on the government to introduce measures aimed at easing the burden on citizens.
Despite the challenges, Ayodele expressed hope that the country could overcome its present difficulties if leaders act with sincerity and commitment toward the people.
He reiterated that Nigeria’s peace and unity should remain a top priority for all stakeholders, regardless of political or ethnic differences.
“The best thing is let the government do the right thing so that there will be no violence,” he repeated, emphasizing the need for responsible leadership and national unity.
Observers say the cleric’s remarks reflect the concerns of many Nigerians who continue to demand improved living conditions, security and economic opportunities across the country……See More
