Peter Ameh has reacted strongly to the ongoing discussions surrounding Peter Obi and his departure from the ADC, describing the reactions from some members of the party as emotional and unnecessary.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television on Friday, May 8, 2026, Ameh suggested that the manner in which certain individuals have responded to Obi’s exit shows that they may have underestimated his political value while he was still associated with them.
According to Ameh, the response from critics and party loyalists resembles the reaction of someone struggling to come to terms with a painful separation.

Ameh’s comments have since generated reactions among political observers, especially as conversations continue regarding Obi’s political future and the shifting alliances ahead of future elections.
Many analysts believe the remarks highlight the growing tensions and uncertainties within opposition politics in Nigeria. His statement also reinforces the perception that Obi remains a major political figure whose decisions continue to attract national attention and debate across party lines……See More
