After My Father Disowned Me, I Left His House Happily Because I Don’t Want Any Hindrance -Marvins

Veteran Yoruba Nollywood comic actor Tokunbo Marvins has revealed how he embraced his father’s disownment as a liberating moment rather than a setback.

Speaking in an interview with Oyinmomo TV, Marvins recounted his early life as a brilliant secondary school student whose academic prowess had raised high hopes from his father, a former Army officer.

Far from feeling devastated, Marvins accepted the ultimatum with relief and left happily, emphasizing that he did not want anything to hinder his acting career.

Marvins also shared a touching moment that came after his father’s initial disownment. He recalled that once he started gaining popularity, his father called him for the first time since the disownment.

His father had been with friends and, upon seeing Marvins on TV, proudly told them that was his son. Initially doubted by his friends, the call that day cleared all uncertainty. Marvins described shedding tears of joy, feeling acknowledged by his father before his eventual passing……See More
