I Heard My Sister Crying Around 2am, I Asked What Happened And She Told Me What Her Boss Did -Maimuna Haruna

Members of a family in Gangare Community of Jos North local government area of Plateau state are seeking justice over the alleged rape of their 14-year-old daughter in the area.

Speaking in an interview with Trust TV, the victim’s elder sister, Maimuna Haruna, described the moment she discovered the assault.

Maimuna explained that she routinely escorted her younger sister home from the chemist where she was an apprentice. On the night in question, she arrived at the location to find her sister in a deeply distressed and strange condition around 2:00 a.m.

She immediately noticed that the girl was crying uncontrollably. Upon pressing her for an explanation, her sister revealed that she had been raped by the chemist owner, a man known as Ibrahim Rawi or Baban Siyama.

Maimuna Haruna stated that the family wasted no time in reporting the serious crime to the C Division police station the very next morning. The family is appealing for justice, expressing dismay that the suspect was released after initial apprehension by community figures.

She said: “I used to take her home. But that day, when I got to the chemist, I met her in a strange condition. Around 2am in the night, I heard her crying and I asked her what happened.
