Yoruba Nollywood actress Omobolarinde Akinyanju, popularly known as Ashabi Simple, has shared details of a distressing health scare she experienced during her marriage to Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, widely known as Portable.
Speaking in an interview with Oyinmomo TV, the actress explained how information she received about her then husband’s alleged past encounter triggered fear and led her to seek immediate medical reassurance.
Akinyanju revealed that the situation arose during a tense period in their relationship, marked by disagreements and emotional strain.
At the time, she said she began receiving messages suggesting that Portable had allegedly been involved with a woman abroad who was said to be living with HIV.
The information, though unverified, caused her deep concern and left her with no option but to visit a hospital to carry out a series of medical tests to confirm her health status.
However, while undergoing the medical examinations, she discovered that she was pregnant with Portable’s child.
The revelation, she explained, came at a time when she was considering ending the relationship, making the situation more complex and emotionally charged.
Despite the fear and uncertainty she experienced, Akinyanju acknowledged that Portable played a significant role in her life during that period.
She stated that he supported her financially and emotionally, contributing to her growth in the entertainment industry.
