In a video shared by Advocacy For Good Governance on Monday, July 13, 2026, Peter Obi, presidential candidate for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), has given his take on the hardships in the Nigerian economy.
In recent times, several Nigerians have taken to the streets to express their grievances regarding the hike in the prices of commodities and the rising level of inflation, which was said to have followed the removal of the fuel subsidy by the current government led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
However, in the video, Peter Obi, presidential candidate for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), decried the poor living conditions of citizens in Nigeria.
He mentioned that anyone residing in Nigeria that claims to be happy with the current situation of the country is not human but an animal.
