According to a recent video by Kaa Truth, Veteran Nollywood actor and traditionalist warns that wishes and prayers without hard work cannot deliver national success.
In a recent episode of Kaytr’s Podcast, a renowned Nollywood icon criticized Nigeria’s over-reliance on religious rituals, arguing that prayers alone cannot solve the nation’s problems. The actor, who identifies as an African traditionalist despite being born into Catholicism, stated that while wishes provide hope, only hard work produces tangible results.
He drew a sharp contrast between Nigeria and Israel, noting, “We believe that God is the God of Israel and He should come and save us. But Israel is not asking God to come and save them. They are putting structures in place to save themselves.”
The veteran blamed poor leadership for Nigeria’s challenges and lamented the over-centralization of power under the current administration. He also condemned religious hypocrisy, pointing out that Nigeria remains deeply corrupt despite being one of the most religious countries in the world.
He argued that disrespecting other religions stems from a weak religious foundation, calling for mutual tolerance and genuine action over empty prayers.
