Reactions As Saraki Observes Jummat Prayers With Kwara PDP Gubernatorial Aspirants, Shares Images

Former Senate President and ex-governor of Kwara State, Bukola Saraki, has stirred reactions after sharing images from a gathering with some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirants from Kwara State.

Saraki disclosed the development in a post shared on his X handle on Friday, revealing that he observed Jummat prayers in Abuja alongside some indigenes of Kwara State, including three aspirants seeking the PDP governorship ticket.

The former Senate President identified the aspirants as Engr. Kale Kawu, Prof. Ali Ahmad, and Alhaji Omar Bolaji Gambari.

According to Saraki, the engagement extended beyond the prayer session as the group later gathered at his residence for lunch and informal discussions.

“Today in Abuja, I observed Jummat prayers with some of our Kwarans, including three of our Kwara PDP gubernatorial aspirants — Engr. Kale Kawu, Prof. Ali Ahmad, and Alhaji Omar Bolaji Gambari. Afterwards, we had lunch at my home and enjoyed a pleasant afternoon together,” he wrote.

The images shared by Saraki quickly generated reactions online, with political observers interpreting the meeting as a sign of ongoing consultations and relationship-building within the Kwara PDP ahead of future political activities in the state.
