During an interview with Arise News on Friday, May 22, 2027, Donu Kogbara, international multimedia journalist & former BBC correspondent, has given her take on the political crisis rocking Rivers State.
Recently, the crisis existing in Rivers State, which was said to have emanated from the long-term feud between the state’s governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Nyesom Wike, has taken a different turn as Governor Fubara withdraws from the All Progressive Congress APC governorship primaries.
However, during the interview, Donu Kogbara, International Multimedia Journalist & Former BBC Correspondent, stated that the withdrawal of Governor Siminalayi Fubara from the APC primaries shows that he is a weak man.
She also mentioned that Fubara was never her choice as governor of Rivers State, stressing that he has been humiliated.
