According to a report by Punch News on Thursday, May 21, 2026, Newton Isokpehi, who claims to be a serving police officer with 26 years of service, has threatened people who might record him while on duty. He allegedly said that the boss who gave people the order to video police officers on duty will handle their burial.
Newton Isokpehi said that on any day he is on duty as a police officer with his rifle doing his job, people are free to record him. He said the boss who ordered people to record the police officers on duty will be the one to bury them. He stated that for every person he kills, that boss will bury all of them.
He said he has served in the Nigerian Police Force for 26 years in this place where we are suffering. They endure hardship every single day, without exception.
