The Senior Special Adviser to the APC National Chairman on Local Government Affairs, Norbert Sochukwudima, has alleged that Senator Ned Nwoko’s defeat in the APC senatorial primary was self-inflicted, he accused him of disengaging from the party structure and its leadership across Delta North.
Speaking on Arise TV, Sochukwudima said, “Ned Nwoko stayed away completely from the party. I do not know where he would have manufactured the support for his claimed victory. Somebody who desired to run for an election never consulted any of the nine local government party chairmen. He never consulted the leaders across the nine local governments.”
Sochukwudima also dismissed Nwoko’s argument that popular support among the people justified his claim to victory, drawing a firm line between public followership and internal party democracy.
