Speaking during an interview on News Central TV, Ariolu recalled his role during the election period and how Obio-Akpor Local Government delivered strong support at the polls, noting that despite the outcome and the efforts invested by supporters in the area, many people were left disappointed by subsequent political events and disagreements involving key figures in the state including Nyesom Wike.

“Let’s leave politics for what it is because people say politics is a dirty game, and you have to look at it from that perspective. I was a sitting local government chairman when that election was conducted. My local government, Obio-Akpor, produced the highest result for him. What did we get at the end of the day? Ariolu further stated that political loyalty and support should always be appreciated, adding that those who worked tirelessly during elections often expect unity and mutual understanding after victory rather than prolonged disagreements among political leaders and their supporters.

He also stressed the need for reconciliation and constructive engagement among stakeholders in Rivers State, noting that residents are more interested in governance, development, and peace than continuous political disputes, while urging political actors to place the interests of the people above personal differences…….See More
