Wike Felt That Fubara Shouldn’t Have Crossed To APC because He Didn’t Want To Work With Fubara -Ezeji

Policy and sustainable development analyst, Joachim Ezeji, has alleged that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, still wants to maintain strong political control in Rivers State despite leaving office as governor.

Speaking during an interview on Signature TV, Ezeji said Wike was trying to build a political structure similar to what exists in Lagos State, where one political leader has strong influence over the affairs of the state. According to him, Wike’s political strategy appears to align with the interests of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Ezeji noted that although Wike has not officially joined the All Progressives Congress, many of his loyalists have already moved into the party and now occupy important positions in Rivers State.

He also claimed that Wike was unhappy that Governor Siminalayi Fubara joined the APC because he no longer wanted to work with him politically.

According to Ezeji, Wike should allow Rivers State to move forward independently since his time as governor has ended. He added that the former governor still wants to influence major political decisions in the state and determine what happens politically in Rivers.

In his words, “He felt that the governor should not have crossed, because he didn’t want to work with the governor again. But tell me what business Wike has with Rivers State. He has already finished his term as governor.”…….See More
