Ralph Nwosu has alleged that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was initially more focused on negotiating with people in power than committing fully to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) before eventually aligning with the party.
Nwosu made the remarks during an interview on SYMFONI TV while reacting to discussions surrounding Kwankwaso’s movement into the ADC and his subsequent political alignment with the National Democratic Coalition (NDC).
According to the former ADC chairman, several efforts were made by the party leadership to bring Kwankwaso closer to the ADC fold, but those moves did not immediately yield results because the former Kano governor was allegedly pursuing talks with influential figures within the ruling political establishment.
“When the chairman and other leaders will send people to him, he was more interested in negotiating with people in power for whatever reason,” Nwosu said during the interview.
He further claimed that Kwankwaso only fully embraced the ADC after his political calculations elsewhere failed and some of his close allies shifted their loyalty. “I think it was when it finally failed and his governor joined them that he thought he had no more option that he came into ADC,” Nwosu added…….See More
