Trump ‘Not Going To Be Much More Patient,’ And Says Iran Can Make Deal Or ‘Get Annihilated’

According to the Jerusalam post, U.S. President Donald Trump warned Friday that Iran must quickly reach an agreement over its nuclear program or face devastating consequences, saying he was “not going to be much more patient” with Tehran.

Speaking after meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping during his visit to Beijing, Trump said both leaders were aligned on preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

“Iran can make a deal, or they can get annihilated,” Trump told reporters following the talks. “We’re not going to allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon, and President Xi agrees with that very strongly.”

Trump said his administration had given Tehran multiple opportunities to negotiate but warned that time was running out.

“I’m not going to be much more patient,” Trump said. “They know what they have to do.”

The remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and growing international concern over Iran’s nuclear activities. Washington has intensified pressure on Tehran in recent months while military deployments in the region have increased.

Trump also claimed that Xi expressed support for maintaining stability in global energy markets, including ensuring that the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz remains open to international shipping.

According to Trump, the Chinese leader “would like to see a deal made” with Iran and agreed that escalation in the Gulf would threaten global economic stability.

Iran has repeatedly insisted that its nuclear program is intended solely for peaceful purposes and has rejected threats from the United States. Iranian officials have also warned that military pressure would only deepen regional instability.

The latest comments from Trump follow a series of increasingly sharp statements by senior American officials regarding Tehran’s missile and nuclear capabilities. US Central Command has also warned that Iran-backed proxy groups across the region have been weakened in recent confrontations.

Neither the Chinese Foreign Ministry nor Iranian officials immediately responded publicly to Trump’s latest remarks.
