Those You See In ADC Are People Whose Conviction And Pedigree Have Never Been Put To Question -Salihu

According to a report by Arise News on Thursday, May 14, 2026, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dr. Ladan Salihu, has alleged that approximately N800 billion from allocations distributed through the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has been diverted for activities connected to preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Salihu made the allegation during an interview on ARISE NEWS on Wednesday, where he raised concerns over the management and application of public funds.

He claimed that substantial financial resources meant for public use may have been redirected for political purposes, stressing that such issues require urgent public attention.

During the discussion, he referenced reports he linked to the World Bank as well as information from internal government sources, which he said formed the basis of the allegations.

He argued that the matter requires proper investigation and scrutiny in order to establish accountability in the use of national resources.

He also called for a comprehensive forensic audit into the allocation and expenditure of public funds, insisting that there should be greater openness in government financial activities.

According to him, transparency remains necessary in ensuring that public resources are utilized for their intended purposes and that citizens are informed about how national revenue is managed.

Speaking further, Salihu defended the credibility and reputation of members of the African Democratic Congress, stating that the party remains committed to pursuing reforms that would improve governance in the country.

He maintained that individuals within the party have maintained records that have not been tainted by corruption allegations and that their involvement in politics is driven by the desire to contribute to national development.

He said members of the ADC are focused on promoting a vision of leadership that prioritizes integrity and accountability.

He further stated that the individuals associated with the party possess values and convictions that align with efforts aimed at building a more effective and functional Nigeria.

“Let’s take someone like Atiku Abubakar or Mohammed Hayatu-Deen. Atiku has had 11 to 12 cases from the lower courts to the Supreme Court. Not one competent court of jurisdiction, not one shred of evidence, has been provided against him. Those you see in the ADC today are people whose conviction and pedigree have never been put to question. We are people with a conscience who believe in a Nigeria that can work,” he maintained……See More
