ADC chieftain Chief Dele Momodu has warned that the opposition coalition has no realistic path to defeating President Bola Tinubu in 2027 if it remains divided.
Speaking on Arise TV, Momodu urged the opposition to confront the electoral mathematics with honesty. “You are underrating a man who can open the vault of Nigeria and spend it all on an election. I do not know how you think Nigeria has suddenly become Europe or America, where people simply vote because they think a man is their messiah. No, it does not work that way. I have been following presidential elections since 1993, and trust me, it is pure mathematics,” he said.
Momodu also challenged the near-messianic status being assigned to Peter Obi within some quarters of the opposition, arguing that the ADC has other contenders with far more extensive records of public service.
