In a May 11, 2026, interview with Symfoni Tv, Peter Ameh discussed how Peter Obi was treated after he resigned as governor. Despite years of probes and scrutiny, he questioned why authorities had failed to find any criminal case against Obi.
Ameh elaborated on how Obi had maintained his composure in the face of several threats. He claimed that Obi was complicit in the theft of his Lagos properties but did nothing to stop it. He claimed that even if the people had questions about the law’s efficacy, Obi persisted in following legal processes and depended on the court system.
Additionally, he asserted that there were efforts afoot to undermine Obi politically.
