Charles Omole, a writer and commentator, has reportedly said that President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, is associated with one of the influential organisations surrounding him (Monday, May 11, 2026, Daily Post).
While discussing informal power structures in government in a podcast interview, he made the accusation that Seyi Tinubu is tied to the second cabal in President Tinubu’s administration.
He asserted that this group has a hand in administrative appointments and political decisions, and he even went so far as to say that the president’s son and his network control several important positions.
According to Omole, Seyi Tinubu’s influence even extends to the appointment of government officials; he said that Seyi Tinubu was heavily involved in the selection of the Minister of Youth and other appointees.
He went on to say that this influence shows up in the public and private behaviour of some officials; he used the Youth Minister to illustrate his point, implying that the minister is frequently perceived as strongly linked with Seyi Tinubu in both official and informal political contacts.
Omole said that he was merely expressing his thoughts on current events and presidential discourse.
