In a post shared on his official Instagram page on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Ossai Ovie Success, a Special Assistant and Senior Special Assistant on Media to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed disappointment over reports that Peter Obi may be considering a single four-year term arrangement if elected president.
In the post, the Delta State governor’s aide questioned whether a single four-year tenure would be sufficient for the South-East region, particularly considering that no person of Igbo extraction has occupied the office of president in Nigeria.
“Peter Obi and his One term lies .. I am really disappointed. I am disappointed that Peter Obi is negotiated a single 4-year term deal with Nigerians,” he wrote.
He further questioned the practicality of implementing Obi’s proposed plans within a four-year period. “Is 4 years really enough for the Igbo people that has never held that office of a president?” he asked. “The fact is that Peter Obi promises can’t be fulfilled in four years,” he added.
Ossai also suggested that the former Anambra State governor was attempting to gain political advantage through the reported arrangement. “Peter Obi is trying to be smart with Nigerians. This is not 2023. We are wiser now and we are disappointed,” he wrote.
