Omowunmi Aloba has said the lingering feud between her and her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, may no longer be reconcilable due to the continued controversy surrounding a DNA test request for her son, Liam.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Omowunmi opened up about the strained relationship within the family of late singer Mohbad, whose death in September 2023 sparked nationwide attention and public outrage.
During the interview, she expressed frustration over the repeated demands for a DNA test by Joseph Aloba, claiming that the issue has gone beyond family concerns and has become deeply personal.
“It has really gotten to the point I don’t think this family feud can be settled anymore because what he wants is not what I can do. What he actually wants can never happen. He wants the DNA of my child to be negative,” she said.
Omowunmi alleged that despite ongoing discussions surrounding the matter, her father-in-law remains determined to challenge the paternity of Liam, a situation she believes has worsened tensions within the family.
The dispute over Liam’s paternity has remained one of the major controversies linked to Mohbad’s death.
