Roy De Nani, a veteran actor, has stated that he was banned from Nollywood by an influential individual in the industry. He said the ban lasted for 13 years and he faced serious financial difficulties
According to a report by Nigerian Tribune, De Nani said he lost his brother and was hurt that no fellow actor came to support him during that time. He said he also lost his son and daughter who were living with Sickle Cell disease.
De Nani said his son and daughter needed regular blood transfusions to survive, but he could not afford the treatment because he was banned from acting and had no money. He said that period one of the most painful times of his life.
