Former Nigerian beauty queen winner and business tycoon Dabota Lawson, who is the estranged wife of Nigerian business tycoon Sunny Aku, has revealed what could have happened between her and her ex-husband if she had dated him for a while before she got married to him, while also stating how her husband was able to convince her to marry him just two weeks after they met each other.
According to the video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of With Chude during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, she disclosed that her ex-husband proposed marriage to her just two weeks into their relationship, saying that she should have dated him for some time in order to find out if the two of them could be compatible.
According to Dabota Lawson, she said, “I wasn’t prepared to get married at the time I met my ex-husband, especially with my age at the time. When my husband came into my life, he turned my whole life around and made me happy, and he gave me the kind of treatment that I thought I deserved. My ex-husband was older and mature, and I decided to settle down with him instead of dating young guys without a future. He was making me feel good about myself to the extent that he proposed to me just two weeks after we met, and we did our engagement just three months into our relationship. If I had dated my husband before marriage, I would have realized he’s not the right man for me. If I dated my husband to know him better, I would have realized he’s not the right man for me.
