Primate Elijah Ayodele has made a bold political prediction regarding Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election, suggesting that a potential move by Atiku Abubakar could signal the end of Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s chances of securing a second term.
The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church made the remark while speaking on the political landscape ahead of the next general election. According to Ayodele, if Atiku visits the United States, it could mark a turning point that would significantly weaken Tinubu’s re-election prospects.
“The moment Atiku visits America, President Tinubu should start packing,” Ayodele said, implying that such a development would shift political momentum in favour of the former vice president.
Although the statement may appear symbolic, Ayodele clarified that his message points to broader political implications. In his view, an international breakthrough or engagement for Atiku — particularly involving the United States — could boost his credibility and strengthen his chances in the 2027 race.
Ayodele’s prediction suggests that such a move would not only elevate Atiku’s political standing but also diminish Tinubu’s chances of winning another term in office. The cleric believes that under such circumstances, Tinubu would struggle to retain enough support to secure victory at the polls.
The comments come amid ongoing political discussions and realignments, with key opposition figures exploring strategies ahead of the next election cycle. Atiku, who remains a central figure in opposition politics, continues to be widely discussed as a potential contender.
On the other hand, Tinubu, the incumbent president, is expected to seek re-election, making the 2027 contest one of the most anticipated in Nigeria’s political history…….See More
