Hon. Adamu Mohammed Yakubu, the APC North Central Zonal Secretary, has dismissed concerns that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) could pose an electoral threat to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Federal Capital Territory.
In an interview, with LEADERSHIP on Sunday May 3 2026 Adamu said the ADC is still facing serious internal challenges, including lack of unity, weak structure, and absence of a clear ideological direction. He noted that instead of focusing on building a strong political platform, the party is preoccupied with leadership disputes and ownership issues.
He added that these problems have significantly weakened the party’s capacity to operate as a credible opposition force, stressing that it cannot pose any real challenge to the APC until it resolves its internal crises and establishes proper organisational stability.
According to Adamu,
“We would be worried if they could organise themselves and challenge us. They lack cohesion and have different ideologies. They thought they could copy what we did with the APC, but they have ambitious people battling just to own a party. “…..See More
