According to a report by The Sun on Monday, April 27, 2026, an ADC chieftain named Dino Melaye has called on President Bola Tinubu to resign since his administration has failed to adequately address the escalating security crisis in Nigeria.
He made the call while voicing his worry about the effects of the nation’s increasing insecurity on the general populace.
He said that many communities in Nigeria are still living in dread, violence, and uncertainty due to the country’s dire and dangerous circumstances.
He claims that regular Nigerians are always in risk across the country due to the worsening security situation.
President Tinubu, according to Melaye, has unfulfilled pledges related to national security.
According to him, citizens’ expectations from political involvement and campaigns have not been fulfilled, and insecurity is still a big problem that impacts people’s daily lives.
Incidents involving high-ranking military officers, he said, proved how serious the security threats were.
According to him, these kinds of incidents show that the country’s security architecture is flawed, and the administration has done nothing to address the problem or make any changes.
The upper level of leadership must pay immediate attention, he claims, because violent situations and killings keep happening.
Because of the large number of attacks and casualties, he insisted that the present strategy for dealing with insecurity was not working as intended.
During times of national crises, when lives are being lost and security structures are under duress, Melaye emphasised that accountability is a responsibility of leadership.
He insisted that the country’s leadership and security management practices need to be severely evaluated in light of the present crisis.
He said, “Brigadier General Musa Uba was killed like a chicken and nothing happened since September 2025, five months after the killing of Musa, Brigadier General Husseini Ibrahima was killed and Tinubu is so comfortable”…..See More
