Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has expressed sorrow over reports of the killing of Mali’s Defence Minister, Sadio Camara, alongside members of his family in a terrorist attack.
Sani reacted via his X handle on Monday, describing the incident as a tragic loss not only for Mali but for the entire West African region.
“The Malian Minister of Defence, General Sadio Camara, his wife and two children killed in the terrorist attack in Mali. A tragedy and great loss for West Africa,” he wrote.
The attack, which reportedly claimed the lives of the minister and his immediate family, has heightened concerns over the persistent security challenges facing Mali and the wider Sahel region.
