According to a report by TV Platinum, on Monday April 27, 2026, In a recent address, activist and politician Omoyele Sowore launched a scathing critique of various political figures, accusing them of hypocrisy and abandoning the principles they once championed.
Sowore, known for his vocal opposition to the political establishment, questioned the integrity of those he claims have aligned themselves with structures of “criminality” they previously condemned.
A significant portion of his speech focused on Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party. Sowore alleged that Obi’s political maneuvering suggests a lack of genuine party affiliation and ideological consistency.
”Even your labor party candidate (Peter Obi) of last time when we were telling you that he went to rent labor party, he now doesn’t even have a party per say because Atiku Abubakar is the owner of ADC but he doesn’t want to tell you that,” Sowore stated, referencing the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Sowore went further, claiming that Obi’s political ambitions are misguided and that he is effectively operating within the systems he previously opposed. “He’s fighting for vice presidency and vice presidency is not even available; they’ve given it to Usman Austin Okai from Kogi state,” he added.
Concluding his remarks on the state of political discourse, Sowore warned citizens against being manipulated by political actors. “But they will be fooling you so that when they take their nurse very dishononest decisions, you will help them to justify it,” he cautioned.
