Professor Pat Utomi, a renowned political science expert and former Labour Party Chieftain has taken to his official X handle to make a remarkable comment regarding the sensitivity of professor Joash Amupitan’s position. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the position of the INEC chairman is the most powerful position in Nigeria.
Professor Joash Amupitan, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC had been involved in controversial debates following his decision to de-recognize the ADC leadership led by Senator David Mark.
However, amid the controversies, Professor Pat Utomi, a renowned political science expert and former Labour Party Chieftain in a recent statement which was published on his official X handle, described the INEC chairman as powerful.
According to his statements, he pointed out that the job of the INEC chairman proved to be the most powerful position in Nigeria, however, the allegations leveled against him disqualified him from holding on to such a sensitive position.
