Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission has taken to his official X handle to react after the former minister for science and technology, Uche Nnaji decided to settle the school certificate case out of court. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the decision must not be approved.
The former minister for innovation, science and technology, Uche Nnaji was recently on the spotlight after he decided to settle the controversial school certificate case out of court.
It can be recalled that the minister, who resigned from his position in president Tinubu’s cabinet had been at the center of public scrutiny for his actions.
Uche Nnaji, it can be recalled, had been accused of certificate forgery, an offence considered grievous given the sensitivity of his position.
Reacting, Chidi Odinkalu, a respected human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, pointed out that his decision must not be approved.
He further slammed those who made the proposal, arguing that the sensitivity of the case do not make room for it to be swept under the carpet.
The statements from Chidi Odinkalu, which triggered massive public reactions, indicated that not many were pleased with the actions of the former minister.
