Wike Will Not Present Any Candidate That Can Win An Election In Rivers State Again -Enyi Cries Out

In a recent interview on Silverbird N24, political commentator Chizy Enyi, President General of the Initiative for Transparent Strategy and Good Leadership, spoke about the political situation in Rivers State, the ongoing tensions between key political actors, and the implications for future elections in the state.

During the interview, Enyi stated, “Nyesom Wike will not present any candidate that can win an election in Rivers State again, Enyi cries out.” He made the remark while responding to questions on the influence of political actors in Rivers State and the growing concerns over internal party divisions and electoral dynamics ahead of future polls.

Enyi explained that the political structure in Rivers State has become highly competitive and deeply fractured, with competing interests shaping candidate selection and electoral outcomes. According to him, the balance of power in the state has shifted significantly, making it difficult for any single political figure to fully determine electoral success as before.

He further argued that the current political atmosphere in Rivers State reflects broader struggles over control, loyalty, and party alignment, noting that these tensions have affected governance and coordination between different arms of government. He maintained that such divisions often translate into instability in decision-making processes.

Enyi also emphasized that electoral outcomes in Rivers State are increasingly influenced by voter sentiment and local political realities rather than individual endorsements. He stated that citizens are becoming more politically aware and are likely to resist imposition of candidates perceived to lack broad-based acceptance.

He noted that ongoing disagreements among political stakeholders have continued to shape public discourse in the state, adding that reconciliation and restructuring within party systems may be necessary to restore stability and trust ahead of future elections.

He concluded by stressing that the evolving political environment in Rivers State will continue to produce unexpected outcomes if key stakeholders fail to address internal divisions and prioritize the interests of the electorate over personal political influence…….See More
