El-Rufai & Ribadu Were Running Away From Yar’Adua Because Ribadu Had Offended Ibori & Saraki -Sowore

Speaking during an interview on Sahara TV, African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore spoke about former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and former EFCC Chairman Nuhu Ribadu, saying they went into exile in the United States during the administration of former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

Sowore explained that the two men were allegedly trying to escape the political situation at the time, following tensions involving Ribadu and prominent political figures, including former Delta State Governor James Ibori and former Senate President Bukola Saraki.

The AAC presidential candidate further claimed that the situation led to their departure, linking the development to the political tensions surrounding the Yar’Adua administration and the disagreements involving Ribadu and the two political figures.

In Sowore’s words: “El-Rufai was in exile in the US with Nuhu Ribadu. They were running away from Yar’Adua because Nuhu Ribadu had offended Ibori and Saraki, so they drove them out of town.”
