Reactions As Soludo’s Govt Changes Obi’s Alleged Debt Figure From $123.77 Billion To $123.77 Million

There have been several reactions from social media users after the Anambra state government changed the alleged debt figure of the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi to $123.77 million.

This was contained in a document that was shared on the official X handle of Anambra State Government on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

This is coming after the administration of Prof Charles Soludo accused the presidential candidate of NDC of borrowing $123.77 billion before leaving office as the governor of Anambra state on March 17, 2014.

In the statement that surfaced online, the Anambra state government also stated that Peter Obi failed to pay several workers during his administration.

According to Anambra state government;

“As at the date Peter Obi left office on March 17, 2014, there were eight different external borrowings his administration left for his successors”.
