Umar Bio Salihu, the village head of Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, has stated that he managed to hide in a place where bandits could not see him during the deadly attack on Woro community
In an interview with News Central TV, Salihu said when the bandits invaded Woro, they went to his house and killed two of his children. He said they tried to force his wife to show them where he was hiding, but they could not find him
Salihu stated that the bandits eventually took his wife and some of his children into the forest. He said they also set his house on fire, destroyed his cars, and burnt many houses and shops across the community before leaving
In Salihu’s words: “I was able to hide in a place where they could not see me. They went to my house, they killed two of my children. They paraded my wife to go and show them where I was but they couldn’t find me. So at the end of the they took my wife with some of my children into the forest, they burnt down my house, my cars, and so many houses and shops in the community”…….See More
