Following the declaration of Governor Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the Osun State gubernatorial election, public affairs analyst Fred Nzeako has shared his assessment of the election outcome, expressing surprise at the high number of votes gathered by the All Progressives Congress (APC) while highlighting the significant obstacles overcome by the incumbent governor.
Speaking in an interview on News Central TV, Nzeako examined the political dynamics and administrative challenges that characterized the period leading up to the election.
Congratulating Governor Adeleke and the electorate of Osun State, Nzeako noted that given the track record of the opposition, he had anticipated a significantly wider margin of victory for the incumbent governor.
“I did not even expect that APC could pull such number of votes. I expected wider matching but be that as it may, I delegate despite all odds and in the midst of all the challenges and bottleneck set along the way recall that for the past 15 months or more almost 22 years the local government funds of Osun state had been withheld by the federal government basically on account of political differences,” Nzeako stated.
