In an interview with Advocacy For Good Governance, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the NDC, expressed concern over the increasing number of school abductions in Nigeria
Obi said that during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, a single school kidnapping triggered widespread protests and attracted global attention. He stated that many people openly criticised the government over the incident.
Obi said there were about 10 school abductions during former President Muhammadu Buhari’s eight years in office.
Obi further stated that under the current administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the number of school abductions has already surpassed 10 within about three years.
