‘I Saw An Account Where Dollar And Pounds Deposits Where Dropping In Like Raindrops’ -Olukoyede

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman Ola Olukoyede has disclosed that he personally ordered an investigation into the finances of Pastor Jerry Eze, founder of Streams of Joy International, after noticing an unusual pattern of foreign currency deposits flowing into the pastor’s account from multiple countries.

Speaking in a media coverage on Channels TV, The EFCC Chairman said, “I saw that there was an account where dollar and pound deposits were dropping in like raindrops from Colombia, from America, from Sri Lanka, even from Togo. I said, ‘Who is this man?’ Yes, I had heard his name, and I had seen his face a couple of times, but I had never really bothered about what he was doing. I knew he was a pastor. So they said, ‘There is one Pastor Jerry of Streams of Joy.” I said go and investigate him.’ So we went into investigation. We combed through the books and we summoned him.”

The EFCC Chairman noted that after hearing the pastor explain how the funds came in and the work he does supporting people across the world, he said he had not summoned him to demand explanations but to commend him.

He further revealed that the thorough investigation had found nothing incriminating and that the deposits were entirely consistent with the pastor’s legitimate humanitarian and ministerial activities……See More
