IDF Says Soldier Lightly Hurt Yesterday In Hezbollah Drone Attack; Many Hezbollah Sites Hit

According to a report by The Times of Israel, on Wednesday 29 April, 2026, cross-border hostilities have persisted despite what Israel terms as a ceasefire framework, with one Israeli soldier suffering minor injuries in yesterday’s Hezbollah drone attack in southern Lebanon, according to the military.

The Israeli Defence Forces claim that Hezbollah attacked Israeli forces in southern Lebanon by launching multiple drones carrying explosives. The drones were reportedly used in various events during the day and set off near where the troops were stationed, according to the military.

According to the Israeli Defence personnel (IDF), the string of drone attacks was an assault on their personnel stationed in the region, and the incidents were part of the continuing fighting along the northern border.

This prompted a flurry of airstrikes by the Israeli military, which they claimed were targeting Hezbollah facilities in southern Lebanon, just north of the security zone that Israel controls. The rocket launchers, weapon depots, and other facilities utilised by Hezbollah to plot assaults against Israeli forces and the state of Israel were allegedly the targets of the strikes.

Primed rocket launchers and facilities utilised for weapon storage and supporting operational action were among the targets listed by the army. The Israeli Defence Forces justified the strikes by saying they were part of a larger attempt to hinder Hezbollah’s capacity to assault Israeli forces.
