According to a report by the Times of Israel on Tuesday 28 April, 2026, Israel’s military has issued a fresh evacuation warning for parts of southern Lebanon, signaling that more strikes could be imminent as tensions with Hezbollah continue to simmer.
The notice, delivered by the Israel Defense Forces, applies to 16 villages and towns located south of the Litani River – an area that has already been under broader evacuation advisories for some time. Still, this latest alert appears more specific, and more urgent.
According to the military, the move comes in response to what it describes as repeated violations of the ceasefire by Hezbollah, including attacks targeting Israeli troops. Officials say those actions have forced their hand, leaving them little choice but to prepare for further operations.
Army spokesman Avichay Adraee made the warning clear: “In light of the Hezbollah terror group’s violations of the ceasefire agreement, the IDF is compelled to act against it with force.”
Residents in the affected areas are being told to head north, toward the coastal city of Sidon, beyond the Litani River. The message, in essence, is simple but stark – distance yourself from anything linked to Hezbollah.
